I have known Jimmy my entire life and what a wonderful friend  he was to everyone he met. Always had a smile to share. He will be truly missed.

Jimmy and I were good friends in high school. We di d a lot together. We were together when he met his wife many years ago. In 1976 I moved to Houston Texas to work. I would see Jimmy at class reunion. I have been in Houston 45 years now. Thursday last week I wanted to  talk to Jimmy so I called him and that was  a good time. Then I got the message the next day that he had died. I was so shocked I could not stand it. Jimmy rest in peace.














Well as a child I always called you dad because I hung with Kristie.  You and mom were always so welcoming and we're never upset when I knocked on your door to hang out.  
Tara, Kristie & all the rest of the family you are all in my thoughts and prayers.  May God be with you during this difficult time.  Remember just because he's not in sight he is still with you in your heart and he's always looking over you.

Remembering his smile, his hearty laughter, his honest approach to people and life as well as the respect he has always had in my eyes,

You will be truly missed, Jimmy.  Until we meet again, keep our Heavenly family company.

Remember all the hay rides?  What a wonderful time we all had!  So much laughing from the adults (???) and the kids too.  Keep those memories close now.  The memories like this are the ones that will help you through this time until you all can start to heal.  We are here if you ever need.  Lots of love and hugs

Sad that I never had the opportunity to know my cousin but knowing he is aHicks and a family member I know he must have been a wonderful man. Blessing and prayers to all. I am on Facebook with Jerry so he does keep me updated. Love and prayers to all 

Rest in Peace my dear friend, I was honored and blessed to have you  as a friend for over 50 years. You , Karen and all of your family are so special to me and my family.  I will see you again but in the meantime  I have so many wonderful memories to hold onto.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Daniel W. Hicks. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Karen P. Hicks; children, Michael Hicks (Rhonda), Scott Hicks (Michelle), Tara Wright (Mickey), Kristine Hicks (Daniel), Erin Sutton (Lawrence), James Hicks and Jordan Hicks (Allyson); grandchildren, Rhieanna, Jacob, Abbey, Robert, Rachel, Ben, Zack, Ethan, Grant, Shiloh, Ryan, Carlie, Cody, Faylee, Nicholas, Morgan, Finn and Mea; brother, Gerald “Jerry” Hicks; and a multitude of other family members and friends.
