ANDERSON, Henry Cutchin, 96, of Richmond, died Monday, September 17, 2012. He was born in Whitakers, NC, son of the late Henry and Lillian Cutchin Anderson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Collins Anderson; sister, Annie Mae Johnston; brothers, Emerson and Forrest Anderson. He is survived by a son, Scott Anderson; a daughter, Maggie McIver and her husband Bob; grandchildren, Matt and Paige McIver. Henry was a devoted husband, loving father, and adoring grandfather and a much beloved Uncle Henry to a host of nieces and nephews. Henry was known for his wonderful sense of humor and caring spirit. He retired from the Seaboard Coastline Railroad after 52 years of service. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a mason, and a member of Skipwith Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Skipwith Baptist Church, 1900 Skipwith Rd., Richmond. Burial will follow at Westhampton Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Skipwith Baptist Church.
