Hengqi Wang

Wang, Mr. Hengqi, a teacher and a writer. Born on December 27, 1936 of Fanchang, Anhui Province of China, he went with our Lord on April 27, 2017. After graduated from the Hefei normal university Chinese department in August, 1959, Mr. Wang taught the theory of Literature in college for 4 years. In July 1963, he married Yanqiu Pan. In October 1963, in order to reunite with his wife, Mr. Wang gave up the university faculty position, moved to the city of Wuhu to teach at No. 1 High School of Wuhu where he taught until his retirement in 1993. Mr. Wang was an outstanding senior teacher. Many students were impacted by his teaching & guidance and considered him as life impact mentor. He was the director of Chinese language and literature division of No.1 high school as well as the City of Wuhu Chinese educational association. Mr. Wang published many literary criticism, plays, poetry and prose works in the publications such as Wuhu Daily, Hefei Daily, Anhui Daily, Folk Stories and so on. He was a member of writers' club for the city of Wuhu and Anhui province. Mr. Wang also publish three books regarding Chinese teaching in High School by Anhui education publishing house, and Nanjing university press. After his retirement in 1993, Mr. Wang and his wife immigrated to US to be with his children. Through the years, he used "Aimin", "Ajie" as pen names and published hundreds of prose, essays, and novels in the World journal, the World weekly, Wuhu Style and other journals/magazines.Mr. Wang is survived by his wife Yangqiu Pan and three children as well as their families: son Feng Wang, daughter-in-law Chaojuan(Jane) Rao, grandson Eric Wang, granddaughter Laura Wang; older daughter He Wang (Sarah Bice), son-in-law Stuart Bice , granddaughter Victoria "Tori" Yangzi Bice live in Richmond, VA. Younger daughter Dr. Tian Wang and son-in-law Dr. Thomas Welte live in Houston, TX.

汪亨祺先生，教师，作家。1936年12月27日生，2017年4月27日与世长辞，享年82岁（中国算法）。安徽繁昌人，1959年8月毕业于合肥师范学院中文系。曾任安徽教育学院文学理论讲师。1963年7月与潘艳秋女士结婚。1963年10月为与妻子团聚，放弃大学教职，调至安徽芜湖第一中学任教至1993年退休，高级教师。汪老师一生桃李满天下，许多学生视他为影响了自己人生的恩师。汪老师曾担任一中及芜湖市语文教研组组长。汪老师还曾在安徽日报，合肥晚报，芜湖日报，民间故事等刊物，发表过多篇文艺评论，剧本，诗歌及散文作品。曾是安徽省及芜湖市文联会员。在安徽教育出版社，南京大学出版社，出版过中学语文教学专著三套。1993年退休后，随留学子女移居美国。以“艾敏”，”阿洁” 等笔名，在世界日报，世界周刊，芜湖风情等报刊发表过百余篇散文，杂文及小说。三个儿女：大儿子汪丰，大儿媳饶朝娟，孙儿Eric Wang, 孙女Laura Wang 及大女儿汪禾（Sarah Bice), 大女婿Stuart Bice (小威)，外孙女扬子（Victoria "Tori" Yangzi Bice) 都住在美国弗吉尼亚州里士满。小女儿汪田和小女婿Thomas Welte 住在美国的得克萨斯州的休斯顿。Arrangements under the direction of Woody Funeral Home-Parham, Richmond, VA.
