Gregory Williams

Gregory was a beloved individual who never met a stranger. Gregory was born in New York in 1957 to Alma Marie Barnes and Adolph Frank Wooten. Gregory had three siblings: Willie Barnes Jr., Anthony Williams, and Michelle Kimbrough. Gregory loved to attend church (St. Paul’s Baptist and Trinity Lutheran Church), spend time in the community, and loved to listen to music. Gregory was small in stature, but his character, bright smile and warm presence drew people to want to know him.

Gregory was cared for by Richmond Residential Services since 1985 after leaving the foster care system. Gregory had long time friends and care givers who cherished him daily and worked heard to ensure a high quality of life. His memory will be cherished by his house mates Bobby, Carletta, Roosevelt, Ulethia, and a host of Richmond Residential caregivers present and past. Special thanks to Bon Secours hospice for their support and care.

Services will be held on September 2, 2022 at 11am at Woody Funeral home, 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond VA 23229.
