Grace Hale Orrock

Grace Hale Orrock, 93, of Richmond, Va. passed on Monday, September 22, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry W. Orrock Sr., her daughter Nancy Orrock Hall and her daughter, Jane’s life partner, Judy Durham. She is survived by a daughter Jane O. Sawyer of Verona, Va. and a son Harry W. Orrock Jr. and wife Melinda of Mechanicsville, a son-in- law Herbert Hall of CT and wife Randi. She is survived by 8 grandchildren: Curt Sawyer and wife Cheryl of New York City, Ginger Kennedy of Fishersville, VA. Erinne Houton and husband Niall of Burlington, CT. Tracy Puffenbarger and husband Scott Tisinger of Goshen, VA, Angelique Horvath and husband Laurence of Galway, NY and Justin Hall and Natalia Pedroza of Greenwich, CT, Amanda Orrock and Phillip Jones of Old Church, VA, and Jenny Henderson and husband Travis of Esmont, VA and thirteen great grandchildren. She was a member of Hanover Chapter #130 Order of Eastern Star. She retired from Liphart Steel after 20 years.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 3:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at the Woody funeral home 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA; where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 25, at 11:00am. The internment will follow at Emmanuel Episcopal Church at 1214 Wilmer Ave Richmond, VA.
