Gloria Groome Page

Page, Gloria Groome, 91 of Eastern Henrico County, went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 26, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents; Maude Norvelle and Clifton Owen Groome Sr.; her husband, Johnnie S. Page, Sr.; seven brothers and five sisters; a son-in-law, Michael Ryan; and a grandchild. She is survived by Sonia Ryan, Johnnie S. Page Jr. and his wife Terri, Malcolm S. Page and his wife, Jill; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and another on the way named Khloe Anne.

Gloria was a woman of strong faith who loved the Lord. She was devoted to raising her family and being a loving wife for many years. Gloria was a Commonwealth of Virginia retiree from the Division of Motor Vehicles. Following her retirement she cared for a number of her grandchildren on a regular basis. Gloria loved music and played the piano by ear. She enjoyed playing for all her friends and family at Sandston Plateau Apartments.

Her remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S Laburnum Avenue, where family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013 with services to be held Monday, July 29, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home. A special thanks to the staff at Henrico Healthcare in Highland Springs for their services over the last several weeks. Their comfort and care was much appreciated.
