Edward Maxwell Brooks

Edward “Fast Eddie” Brooks, 84, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Ethel Brooks; his siblings: Jean Reid, Anna Hicks, Frankie and Billy Brooks; his eldest son, Alan Brooks; and his granddaughter, Christie. He is survived by his wife of 60+ years, Patsy Brooks; his children: Kelly Brooks (Angela) and Rev. Lorrie Wajciechowski (John); grandchildren: Jennifer, Scotty, Adam, Brandy, and Alan II; his great-grandchildren; his brother, Bobby Brooks; and close family friend, Pat Hancock. A visitation will take place on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 4-8 pm at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Henrico, Virginia. The funeral will take place on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Woody Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Henrico, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the SPCA for Edward’s love of all animals.
