Donna Clarkson Odom

ODOM, Donna "Mawmaw" Clarkson, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 20, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Fitzhugh Lee Odom Jr.; daughters, Mary Odom Reidelbach and Clare Odom Frayer; son-in-law, Matthew Frayer (Matt); grandsons, Keith DeWell, Carter Reidelbach, Billy Reidelbach and Clark Frayer; granddaughters, McKenzie Smith and Madi Frayer; and a lifelong friend that she loved like a sister, Rose Witiak. Donna was a graduate of James Madison University and spent most of her career as the chair of the Department of Medical Technology at MCV Hospital. She was an active member of Derbyshire Baptist Church, where she grew in her faith with her beloved church family. She was a member of "the gang" of high school friends, that stayed with her for her entire life. A visitation and viewing will be held at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229, on Tuesday, February 23, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Derbyshire Baptist Church, 8800 Derbyshire Rd., Henrico, Va. 23229, on Wednesday, February 24, at 11 a.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Derbyshire Baptist Church.
