Donna Holmes, 74, of Highland Springs, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Aleatha Broyles; and 3 brothers. Donna was a member of Fairmount Christian Church and CMA. Donna was also a very gifted seamstress and a giving woman, making quilts for those in need. She is survived by her husband Carl Holmes, of 55 years; two daughters, Janet O’Berry, and Barb Ninemire (Lon); four grandchildren, Krysten, Lewen, Hannah, and Shiloh; and one brother Arthur Broyles. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 5-8 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home: 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond VA. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 10:00 am at Fairmount Christian Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Fairmount Christian Church Building Fund.
