David E. "Rabbit" Taylor, 53, of Midlothian, passed away suddenly on June 21, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Louis “Pee Wee” Taylor; and brother, William Taylor. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Summer; four children, Ashley Beasley (Logan), Alyssa Higgins (Thomas), Scott Taylor (Tim) and Jada Moore; two grandchildren, Mason Thomas Higgins and Baby Beasley (due July 2017); his mother, Joan Taylor; three brothers, Walter Taylor (Kelly), Bruce Taylor (Terry) and George Taylor (Suzanne); two sisters, Susan Cavaliere (Bob),and Theresa Moseley (Johnny); in-laws, Fred and Nancy Ridgway; and a large extended family. He was selfless, compassionate, and always put others needs before his own. David loved his family with all his heart, especially his wife, children and grandchildren. He always looked forward to visits with his grandson, Mason, and was so excited about meeting Baby Beasley in July. He loved traveling, fishing, being on or near the water, and just being outside enjoying nature. David and his wife recently adopted a puppy, Stella, and she quickly had him wrapped around her little paw. He spent countless hours training and loving on her, and he was looking forward to introducing her to his love of traveling and the water. He was a hard-working man and always went above and beyond what was asked of him throughout his over 25 year career as an Electrical Supervisor at Philip Morris USA. David was the most amazing husband, daddy, and Pop-Pop anyone could ever ask for. His family is heartbroken at losing him at such a young age and will never get over his loss. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231.
