Cynthia “Cindi” Marks Coward, 75, died peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
Cindi was the daughter of the late Wilson F. Marks and Jane M. Smith of Warren, OH. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 53 years, William “Jack” Jackman Coward, III of Richmond; a daughter, Holland C. Muscio (Sean) of Atlanta, GA; a son, William “Billly” W. Coward (Anne) of Richmond; a sister, Janey Marks of Los Angeles, CA; a granddaughter, Gracelyn Coward and a grandson, Jackman Coward of Richmond; sister in law, Pret Kopecky (Jan) of Richmond; sister-in-law, Caroline Kruger of James Island, SC; niece, Yancey Travassos ( Alan) of Goldsboro, NC.
Cindi was an enthusiastic volunteer at her children’s schools and a devoted volunteer at the Valentine Museum. She was a member of Crown Grant Garden Club, the Junior League of Richmond and Hermitage Country Club. Cindi particularly enjoyed her “Red Hat” ladies lunch gatherings and her bridge group. She will be missed greatly by her dear friends Chris Wolff, Betsy Veazey, and Debbie Lange. Cindi loved to cook and was a wonderful chef treating her family and friends to many tasty dishes. But primarily she will be missed for her laughter, bright smile and warm hugs.
A celebration of her life will be held at Woody Funeral home on Friday, November 24 at 2 p.m. A reception at the family home on Loreines Landing Lane immediately following. Interment will be held at a later date in Franklin, Va.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cindi’s name to Feed More, 1415 Rhoadmiller St. Richmond, VA 23220.
