Charles Stephen Thompson

Charles Stephen Thompson, 86, Midlothian, VA, passed away on Monday, September 5th, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carol Thompson (Rogers) and his daughter, Shelly Donnelly (Dave), son, Mark Thompson (Angela) and daughter, Debra Wert (Neil); grandchildren, Jared Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Madeline Donnelly (William Hickman, Fiancee), Davis Wert and Raegan Wert. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings. Prior to moving to Virginia 15 years ago, Charles worked as an elementary school teacher and was an active member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle in Vestal, N.Y. At his church, he played the piano, sang in the church choir and coached the middle school boys basketball team. Charles loved to garden and was very proud of the vegetables he grew. Charles cherished his wife and was proud of his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his devotion to his Lord and Savior and is happily rejoicing with him.
