Catherine Stone Scott

Catherine Stone Scott, 95, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2012 at the Lakewood Manor Baptist Retirement Center. Catherine was the widow of Col. Earl A Scott, Liaison pilot and Veteran of WWII. They were married for 66 years. Catherine was a longtime member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church and Venable Street Baptist Church, and a former employee of the Commonwealth of Virginia for 31 years. She is survived by her nephews, Dr. David Richardson, Jr. of Califon NJ, George E Stone III of Richmond, VA, and Milton L. Scott Jr. of Mineral, VA. a brother in-law Russell L Scott of Richmond, VA, and her nieces Linda Watson of Mechanicsville, VA, Caroline Hudgins of Richmond, VA, Karen Anderson of Mosley VA, Dianne Best of Bumpass, VA and Deborah Miller of Lanexa, VA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 6:00 - 8:00pm at the Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA 23229. There will be a graveside service held at 11:00am on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Westhampton Memorial Park on Patterson Ave. and Gaskins Rd.
