GARRETT-Carolyn Parrish, of Highland Springs, went home to the Lord on July 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Iola Parrish and sister Ann Benson. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Jimmie Garrett, daughter Grace Garrett, granddaughters Lindsey Heuvel (Chris) and Courtney Whetten (Jesse), great grandson Max Heuvel, brother Lonnie Felton Parrish (Fran), sister Linda Hall (Buddy), and devoted friend of family, Penny Koopman. Carolyn was an artist and sang when she was young. She loved to read and had an interest in civil war and other history. She was a charter member of New Hope Baptist Church, Mechanicsville, Va. A funeral service will be held Saturday July 25, 2015 at 9:30a at Nelsen Funeral Home Richmond, with interment following at Washington Memorial Park.
