Barbara Parton Evans

Barbara Jean Parton Evans, 72, of Henrico, VA, passed away peacefully in her sleep October 26, 2023. Born in Chesterfield, VA, she was the daughter of the late Lucille Paulette and Lester Parton. She was predeceased by her brother, James R. Bishop of Fork Union, VA. She is survived by her sister, Lois B. Thomas of Chesterfield, VA. Also surviving are three nieces, Tricia T. Meagher (Maurice), Delores Bishop, Lynette Bishop Reynolds (Eric); three nephews, John Thomas, Jr., Warren Thomas (Rhonda) and Dr. Raymond (ROB) Bishop (Lori). Also surviving are nine great-nieces and five great-nephews. Barbara was deeply loved by her family and friends. In addition to lengthy careers at Circuit City and The Virginia Lottery, she spent the last two decades working in management, and as an adept intuitive reader, at the Aquarian Bookshop in Richmond, VA. She shared her empathy, wisdom and sage advice, with thousands of individuals, friends and family over the years. Her great Light, Love and humor will be forever missed. Barbara's ashes will be scattered in the Atlantic ocean in a private ceremony at a future date.
