Barbara Allen Brown, 89, of Richmond, VA, passed Tuesday, 4 April 2023, at her daughter’s residence in Dallas, TX.
She was the daughter of late Minnie Viola Sadler, of Giles County, VA.
She was preceeded in death by her son, Ricky Owen Brown and her husband, Reginald Owen Brown.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Vickie Page Bodine (Gary); her son, Joseph Henry Brown (Erin); five grandchildren, Stephanie Page (Hedyeri), Chris Page (Karyn), Michael Bodine (Kelsey), Caitlin Shiben (Elliot) and Lindsey Brown (Sean); two great grandchildren, Wylan and Zachary Page; her cousin Marvin Farwell, of Christiansburg, VA (whom she always thought of as a brother); her nephews Barry, Mike and Kevin Lynn, of Hanover, VA; her nieces Anita Winfree and Bobby-Jo Morton; brother-in-law & sister-in-law Bobby & Jo Brown, of Mechanicsville, VA; and many loving neighbors & friends.
Mrs. Brown was a retired employee of Philip Morris USA. She will be forever known as “Nana Brown” and “Grandma”, a very hard worker, a loyal and dedicated wife, a gardening enthusiast, a lover of all animals (she will forever miss her “Cuddles”), a competitor of outdoor sports and the world’s best mother & grandmother. She will be deeply missed!
Remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, 12 April and funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, 13 April.
Burial service will immediately follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park, Hanover, VA.
