Alan Carter Milby

Alan Carter Milby, 51, of Varina, was released from his earthly body and welcomed into the arms of his heavenly Father on Saturday, September 19, 2022.
Although life came with innumerable challenges for Alan, he met them all with a fighting spirit. He never gave up!
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Wayne Milby and Pamela Gowin Milby. He is survived by his brothers and sister, Brian (Angie), Laura Milby Barron (Ferrell), Darren (Rowan), Stephen (Emily), Benjamin, Jonathan (Whitney); 14 nieces and nephews.
He was a faithful member of Sandston Baptist Church. His hobbies included all things Garfield and Dukes of Hazzard. He enjoyed riding roller coasters, playing skeeball, watching movies, and collecting trains.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8pm Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond.
Funeral Services will be held at 10am Thursday, at Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W Williamsburg Rd, Sandston, with Reverend Karl Heilman officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.
Interment will follow in Four Mile Creek Baptist Church cemetery, 2950 New Market Road, Richmond.
Flowers are welcome, or contributions may be made to Sandston Baptist Church.
