Quincy Allis Bell (AKA - "Fat Daddy"), age 68, of Richmond, California passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. He was born in Richmond, CA on June 10, 1952, to proud parents, Alexander Bell Jr. and Samella Thomas.
Quincy was from a large family (8 sisters and 7 brothers). He was his mother’s youngest child. He had a close bond with his mother and was most definitely known for being a “Mama’s Boy.” Quincy received Christ at an early age and his education within the Richmond Unified School District. He graduated from Gompers High School in 1971.
Quincy was a quiet man with an easygoing spirit. No matter how tough times got he never complained. Although he had various construction jobs and worked at Fairchild in San Rafael, he was known for being quite the handyman. He could build or fix anything and was always willing to lend a hand.
Quincy had a sweet tooth for cakes and candy. During his last days, his last request was a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. He had an appreciation for "Old School" Comedians like, Richard Pryor, Dolomite, and Robin Harris (known for Be’Be's Kids).
Although Quincy had no known children of his own, he helped to raise or had an impact on all of his nephews and nieces.
Quincy was preceded in death by his Father Alexander Bell Jr.; Mother Samella Thomas; Brothers: Bonny Ward, Roosevelt Thomas, Samuel James Thomas, and Alexander Bell III;
Sisters: Lovie Stanley, Chessie Bishop, Irene Irving, and Jellean Evans.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving sisters and brothers: Julius Thomas (Juanita), Isadoria Thomas, Corinthia Bell, and Zona Bell all of Sacramento, California.
