Steve B Davis

Stephen “Steve” Blake Davis passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024, in Dallas, Texas at the age of 77, He was born in San Angelo, Texas to Joe Louis Davis and Suzanna DuBrock Davis. Steve graduated from Forney High School in 1965 and later attended East Texas State University in Commerce.

Steve loved his family deeply and took great pride and joy in being not only a Dad but in being Papa to his grandchildren and their families. He wanted to attend as many of the grandkids' events as possible including football, cheer, lacrosse, track meets, cross country, and baseball. He loved being present to cheer them on. He would jump at the opportunity to hunt, fish or play a game with the kids. Papa will be missed.

Steve was a hard worker, whether around the house or during his career as a National Sales Manager. He was very proud of his many accomplishments at Phillips Industries. Even at his weakest moments, Steve would light up talking about his work, which he would have continued until death if he could have. Steve loved food, especially tomatoes slightly salted and ice cream (lots and lots of ice cream). He loved people and we all loved his southern charm and witty personality. To know Steve was to love him.

Steve’s family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to all of the Sage Oak staff for their friendship and generous care and compassion shown to us and Steve over this past year.

Steve is survived by his daughters Kimberly Malouf and Jennifer Hanson (husband George), along with his grandchildren Davis Malouf, Haley Hanson, Chloe Malouf, Laine Hanson, Blake Malouf, and Chase Hanson. He is also survived by his brothers Joey (wife Virginia) and Rick (wife Lesa) Davis and his sister Sara Jones. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Sue Davis, his aunt and uncle Laura and Sonny Adams, and his niece Kayla King.

A celebration of Steve’s life is planned for 2 pm on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Park Cities Presbyterian Church 4124 Oak Lawn Dallas, Texas. A reception will follow.
