Christopher was an amazing little guy from the get go. It was a blessing to watch him grow and explore! At the age of 4 he began playing soccer with the Dooley Dragons, coach David Grace. Soccer became his passion and from there he went to Select and was with the Pegasus, Coaches Bruno and Tate. He loved this team a lot. He continued through the ranks to a Classic team named the Comets.
Christopher played high school soccer with the Plano East team. He was passionate about soccer and was at the top of his game his junior and senior year. He just loved the game and his teammates and was having so much fun.
Christopher was a good friend to many. He never met a person he didn't like. He was very kind and had so much love for his family and friends. Christopher was a wonderful son and we don't know how we will go on without him and his remarkable humor. As his mom, I can say we had a very open and awesome relationship. I will miss our long talks about almost everything. We loved the game Word Hero; he was an amazing speller. He built lovely things for me out of wood. I call them my treasures. I was blessed to have him as my son.
Christopher also had a strong bond with his dad. He often helped him to cut down trees and could do most repairs needed outside. They also had one very important sport in common, soccer!!! They shared a common interest in movies and just helping each other at everything. He did all the "reaching" in the house for his dad and me, because he said we were too short!
He is survived by his parents, Tim and Debbie Ligo; brother, Johnathan (Stacey) Ligo; nieces, Hayley and Emma Ligo; cousins, Adonia Deice, Natasha Ivy Sutton and her son Konner, Tiffany Ivy Richmond, and the Craig Deice Family; aunt, Windy Ligo; and uncle, Shannon Ivy.
Chris was predeceased by his grandparents, his aunts Vickie Hoffman and Rene Hopkins, and his special friend Harley, his dog.
His amazing personality and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
