Carol graduated from South San Antonio High School and shortly, thereafter, began working at Southwestern Bell Telephone. Eventually, she married Robert E. Kelly, who also was a Bell employee and they started a family of their own. After raising three children, Carol would go on to complete an associate degree for nursing from Dallas County Schools (1992) and worked at various facilities that included Oak Lawn and Green Oaks psychiatric care hospitals. Through most of her adult life she was an active member at churches and in community efforts to serve others who had various at-risk needs.
One of her most favorite ministries was Dinner Theater special events that served to support The Well Community ministry located in Oak Cliff. Her church memberships included Spring Valley Baptist Church, Highland Park Presbyterian Church and FBC Richardson. She will always be remembered as a woman of faith, courage, strength, compassion, mercy, loyal love, and as someone who touched and blessed the lives of many people from around the world.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Rev. Edwin and Georgie Bell Kraemer (of Texas), older sister Eloise (of Georgia), faithful and loving husband of more than 50 years, Robert E. Kelly.
She is survived by her 3 sons: Kris (wife, Melissa), Kraig (wife, May), Charles, and grandchildren, Kassidy, Jack, Emily, and Bryce. Other surviving family members include her loving sister and brother, David and Beverly, both of the Austin, Texas area.
