Patricia Ann (Pam) Gowan, age 57, passed away on July 24, 2012 at Aegis of Redmond, a loving dementia care facility in Redmond, WA. She was born in Lakewood, CA on November 27, 1954 to Luther and Shirley (Richardson) Myser. From a young age, she demonstrated incredible artistic skill. She was a painter, sculptor, cartoonist, portraitist, and more. Above all, she loved to paint whimsical, cheerful creatures. She attended Huntington Beach High School in Fountain Valley, CA before moving to Muscatine, IA in 1971. In 1981, she married William (Bill) Roy Gowan, Jr. and moved to Renton, WA, where she raised her two daughters, Jennifer and Danielle. After divorcing in 2000, she fell in love with Edward Bessette, with whom she stayed for the remainder of her life. She developed a love for dancing, and well into her fifties would stay out until sunrise dancing the night away to her favorite Motown and R&B bands. Throughout her life, Pam’s love for animals and children defined her. She was known to be quirky and forgetful, and always strived to care for those around her. She is survived by her partner, Ed; her daughters, Jennifer and Danielle; her siblings, Sheila, LuAnn, Lu, and Dan (Teri); and her grandchildren, Kylie and Preston. The memorial will be held on Saturday, August 4th at 1:30. It will be at Greenwood Memorial Park: 350 Monroe Ave NE, Renton, WA 98056.
