Marjorie met and married her beloved Julius in 1946 and they spent 63 wonderful years together prior to his death in 2010. The Jorgensens moved 26 times during Julius’ military career and retirement, and she always managed to create a loving home for her family and many friends. She felt blessed by these wonderful opportunities of travel, adventure, and new experience.
Marjorie and Julius loved their wonderful cabin at Lake Kachess and their “SnowBird” community in Mesa, Arizona. She loved to travel, and they continued to tour Europe and Russia and even cruised through the Panama Canal.
Marjorie was a voracious reader, avid gardener, enthusiastic golfer, and a fearless hiker, skier, and snowmobiler. She was, in short, a beautiful force of nature.
Marjorie never forgot the importance and gift of a loving family environment and she and Julius brought many other children and even families to live in their home during periods of immediate and extended need.
Her life, by example, was an inspiration to her children –and their lives were always enhanced by these open and generous acts of heart and spirit.
Her belief in the love and mercy of God was absolute - and the strength she received from the grace of his Lord informed her entire life.
Marjorie loved her family and friends, fiercely and unconditionally. She is survived by four children, Julius, Paul, Janet, and Karli; eight grandchildren, Mark, Timothy, Lisa, Kate, Lara, Daniel, Karin, and Juliana; and eight great-grandchildren, Kylie, Sennen, Eisley, Savannah, Genevieve, Iris, Thomas, and Lainey.
