Born on October 9, 1949, in Portland, Oregon, Kathy spent her youth in Depoe Bay, where she created many fond memories. Later in life, she moved to Renton, Washington, where she eventually retired from years of public service, most recently with the Issaquah School District.
On September 19, 1970, Kathy married the love of her life, Ernie Baker. Together, they raised four sons: Christopher (deceased), Jeff, Eric, and Brad. Above all, Kathy found her greatest joy in being a devoted mother and grandmother. Her children, daughter-in-law Megan and grandchildren, Ryann and Kendall, were the center of her world.
She was a proud baseball mom, always cheering from the sidelines with enthusiasm and unwavering support. Kathy was also a heroic advocate for her disabled son, Eric, championing his needs with boundless love and determination.
Kathy will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the immeasurable love she gave to her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, dedication, and advocacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
