Jean Tokuko (Maekawa) Okamoto, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, auntie and friend passed away peacefully on September 29, 2018.
Jean was born on December 12, 1922 in Burlington, WA. She spent a happy childhood in Blanchard, WA with her nine brothers and sisters. Jean married Tsukasa (Tsuke) Okamoto on May 31, 1942. Jean and Tsuke spent 68 wonderful years together mostly in the Seattle area. Jean lived a spectacularly full life! She loved the outdoors and music, but most of all Jean loved people, especially her family and special friends, some of whom she met during her over 30 years selling Tupperware. She was extraordinarily kind and generous, making everyone in her company feel welcome and at home.
Jean is survived her son Clifford Okamoto (Dalene), son-in-law Steve Stromberger, grandchildren Alisa Smith (Bruce), Shawna Brown (Adam), Kelly Okamoto, Ryan Okamoto, and great-grandchildren Alexa and Audrey Smith and Jadynn Ho. She is proceeded in death by her husband Tsuke and daughters Janice Stromberger and Gail Campbell.
