The day I met Jim was a turning point in my life.   I was a young impressionable 18 year old, and there was something about Jim that I wanted.   Not any material things he may have had, the things he owned meant nothing to me, but his presence and optomistic attidute was something that impressed me like nothing else.  It was infectious, and I liked being around him.

I did not stay involved in Amway, but I did take some important life lessons with me.   That lesson  being that I could acheive what I wanted as long as I believed in myself.   It did not matter what others believed about me, but, instead, what I believed about myself.  That stayed with me the rest of my life.  I went on to finish college, and then went on to complete graduate school.   Reading writing and math did not come easy for me as I had dyslexia, which still rears itself when I am rushed to complete something or I am tired.    College was the last thing I thought about when I completed High School,  but, when I met Jim, I realized that I could do what I wanted so long as I had faith in myself, and kept positive about the possibilities even when things seemed down.

I heard him speak at an Amway function in the 80's, and his message motivated me to go on to great success. 35 years later, I still have the recording of his speech. I just played it tonight, Feb. 10, 2020, and its still as relevant as it was 35 years ago. I never met him, yet he made a difference in my life and I wanted to his family to know. Thank you.

Words cannot express what Jim Brooks means to us. Our deepest condolence goes out to Jim's entire immediate family and all of his Amway family. A great loss here on earth has become one of God's Greatest Blessings in Heaven. Jim Brooks changed our lives in such a way that we still live today by the principals and work ethic that he and his team taught us. Jim was always been here for my family and I. Our two boys, Kyler and Kordel are living examples of what Jim Brooks is all about. Jim, I will miss singing "Happy Birthday" to you every May 3rd until we meet one day again. Its sad to hear Jim's passing, I just ran into it tonight.  I knew Jim personally and he was a very inspirational man. He was a genuine person and yes I was in his Amway Business for 2 years.  Those 2 years changed me forever and Jim was apart of that change (Good Change)  Lord please comfort Jim as I know he is there with you.

I have only just become aware of Jim's passing and am saddened to hear this news.  I had the privilege of meeting Jim at a number of WWDB meetings and events a number of years ago.  Jim's determination and drive stood out and became a source of inspiration in my professional life.  He taught me principles that I extend to the high school students I now teach.  Thank you Jim for what you shared with all of us.  I will look forward to seeing you again one day when we are all united with our heavenly father.  Daryl Croft

I've known you for 40 years from Aberdeen to Olympia to Scottsdale.  Thru good times and bad times we've remained good friends and I will miss you giving me a bad time.

Can't you just see Jim now?  An endless stream of dreamers packed in together to hear Jim speak, inspire and entertain. "Go up to Quinalt, get a load of logs, back down to Aberdeen, drop 'em off. I haven't been around Jim for a long time, but Jim has been in my life ever since I met him because of the principles of life and business that he's taught me.  He was a man's man, and that didn't mean macho.  That meant a man who stood up for what he believed in, defended God, family and country, never wavered in his beliefs, was an example for others and still had a soft side.  I'm not even half the man you are, Jim, but I'm more of a man than I was because of you.  Thank you for that.

I am so proud to have had a part in Jim's life and business.  He was our neighbor in Montesano and our 1st customer and then became a business associate and our first direct in the Amway Business.

I am sure that Al welcomed him Home and they are catching up on everything!

We think of Jim often as his spirit has always been in Amway and those who knew him.  Jim was also a great baseball coach for the girl's middle school baseball team.  He always encouraged them to have fun.  His smile was genuine and he made you feel joyful. Warm blessings to all of the families.

Sorry to hear Jim has left us but know he is Gods Warrior in Heaven now. Sure will always appreciate his motivating talks and great positive attitude. Mary and I will always remember Jim as one of those people that helped change a young couples lives many years ago.
