Albert was born in Spokane, in 1919, to David and Sarah Coleman. Albert devoted his life to his family and church activities as the pastor of various churches in Spokane and Renton. He enjoyed many hobbies and activities including woodworking, singing as a tenor in the Spokane All City Choir as well as other various churches and in local Barbershop Quartets. He enjoyed gardening, softball, and fishing. He was also a gifted musician, playing several instruments including the harmonica, and as a soloist accompanied by the violin and the piano.
A World War II Veteran, Albert spent four years serving the Army Air Corp as a B17 mechanic while stationed in Italy and North Africa. He later worked as an Optician when he returned to the states.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, his eleven (5 brothers and 6 sisters) siblings and his loving wife, Doris Kinney Coleman.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Corinne Barrie Coleman; five children, Doug Coleman, Carol Toschi (Doug), Connie Dunn (Patrick), Paul Coleman, and Janice Matthews (Steve); grandchildren, Brad Dundas (Nicole), Tricia Corsetti (Jim), Michael Toschi (Barbara), Tanya Rettinger (Micha), Tyler Matthews, Zach Matthews, and Jake Matthews; great-grandchildren, Tana and Gus Corsetti, Riley and Ray Rettinger, and Van and Colton Dindas.
A memorial service will be held on November 15, 2015 at 3:30pm at the Community of Christ Church in Renton. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation or the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
