Virginia Josephine Weisgerber

Virginia passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Pasqua Hospital at the age of 86 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Max, infant son Randy, parents Frank & Florence Ebenal, sisters Margaret, Theresa and brother Peter. Virginia will be lovingly remembered by her eight children, Karen (Sam) Evans, Robert (Alice) Weisgerber, Janice (Peter) Jones, Donna (Dennis) Truelove, Mark (Karen) Weisgerber, Joan, Maxine (John) & Michael Weisgerber, grandchildren Carrie, Shauna & Shane; Kenton, Jeremy & Christopher; Alison; Nathan & Allan, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to ICU, 4A at the Pasqua Hospital and to Dr. Carol Geddes for their compassion and care.

Virginia was born and raised near St Peter’s Colony in a stone house and was the youngest of four children. She married Max on April 25, 1949 and had nine children. They farmed together with their family and retired in 1988, moving to Regina. Virginia was an active member on the CWL in both the rural and urban settings and provided countless volunteer hours for her church and community. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, baking & playing cards, drives in the country and best of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was cherished and adored by all her family and friends and we will all miss her dearly.
