The family of Trevor are saddened to announce his sudden passing on Monday, March 24, 2025 in Regina, SK. Born to parents Barry and Donna Kessel of Balgonie SK. Also survived by and forever loved by his wife and high school sweetheart Kelly; daughters Elizabeth, Emily and Elissa; siblings Michelle (Dean), Nickolas (Ashley), Wendy (Fred), Cassandra, and Jonah, David (Rheann), Ryker and Claire; mother and father in law Judy and Brian; along with his special nephew Zack and sisters in law Michelle and Cristal Alicia and Mike; extra special family Kevin, Shelley, Devin (Jace), Colby (Brooke) Kessel, Shelley, Lyle, Jessica, Devin, Dryden, Jordyn, and their spouses, Lindsay, Leeann, and Charmane; as well as many other family and friends.
Trevor worked at Brandt Industries for a collective of 25 years. He has many friends and work family including Doug, Dean, and Braden who became work brothers.
Trevor was very active in and around the community. You could find him at the curling rink both on the ice and helping wherever needed. In the kitchen making his famous gravy for dinner theatre. He was the best dance dad you could find, from fixing tap shoes to building props, hauling costumes and giving the girls pointers on “ballet” moves. Or just giving the girls a hard time because he could point his toes better.
Trevor was very proud of his three girls. No matter what they were doing. Curling, basketball, dance, school plays. He was there cheering them on. He even became an expert at napping in the competition hall through tap dances that were not his girls, and waking up without being told 1 number before their performances. He was the first to congratulate them, the first one they went to after a bad game and the one they joked with when things didn’t go their way. He was #outdaughtered but didn’t care.
Trevor’s heart was on the farm. If he wasn’t with his girls he was in his happy place in the dirt. Kevin didn’t realize what he was getting one day long ago when he asked for an extra hand. He got a lifelong farming hand. Trevor often said his retirement job was going to be working for Colby as a grain truck driver.
Trevor loved his people. Hosting gatherings, skidooing and quading parties at the farm, camping with family and friends. Sitting around the fire was his prime. Many were blessed to know him and be a part of his world, he will be forever loved and missed by many.
By request of his daughters, the family asks for those who are attending the Celebration of Life, please wear your favourite Tshirt and a ball cap in Trevor’s honour.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at the Balgonie Mutliplex at 2:00 p.m. Balgonie, SK.
