Dear Pat and Chris,

I think of your parents often especially at the cottage of course, as the imprint of your Dad's feet and yours are still in the cement patio. Sadly due to the recent erotion the patio is cracking and shifting badly so it will need to go. I remember your Dad so well. Even as a little girl I remember he always had so much energy. Cherish all the good memories.

Ollie was one of my first clients when I opened my Regina office. We enjoyed the "Y" and served together on the Y Board. Gesa was one of his patients for years. Ollie will be missed by his many friends. Our sincere condolences- Gesa & Bob Arscott

My sister in law, Dr. Candice Chapman, now a retired dentist, sent this to me when I told her that Oliver had passed away. She said that I could share this with Oliver's family:
"I remember him very well.  I spent an afternoon observing practice in his office about 29 years ago.  He was a nice man and a good dentist.  That Award of Distinction that he got from U of T is a particularly big thing.  They only give out two or sometimes three per year and they can be given posthumously so that means that he was pretty special and widely recognized for his contributions to the field of dentistry.
He was with us one time when we went to the symphony with Jacqui when she was being honoured maybe 19 years ago.  I remember talking to him about retirement and he was surprised to be feeling so vigorous and healthy at 77.  He was concerned that he had not planned his retirement well enough to financially cover life past 80.  I guess he really got a big surprise.
I hope we live long and well enough to have those concerns."

Dear Pat and family, childhood memories of a colourful man and a dog named Cinders come back to me today as I read the obituary.  Wishing you peace and sending you my sincere sympathy -- Cindy MacKenzie

Dear Pat and Christine and your families,

I was so sorry to hear of your dad's passing.  So many memories of your family, growing up in Regina, and spending summers at Katepwa.  Nice to know that my sister and her husband are keeping the cottage alive.  He put so much love and hard work into building it.

My thoughts are with you.  He was one of a kind for sure.
