Mary Dilys Williams

July 22, 1936 – July 3, 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Williams on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at the age of 85 after a brief battle with cancer. Mary was predeceased by her parents David Ogwen and Gwyneth Williams, her daughter Trish Macknak, her daughter’s father Elmer Macknak and a great grandson in infancy. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory daughters Cheryl (Lloyd) Isted, Lynda (Jaison) Empson and Alison (Sarah) Macknak; grandchildren Ashley Isted (Jeph Maystruck), Tyson (Jasmine) Isted, Jessica Isted, Liam Empson and Avery Empson; great grandchildren Kaidan & Lotus Isted and Tezni and Atlas Maystruck; her sister Lynda Hughes, and brothers David, John and Richard (Enid) Williams; as well as many nieces and nephews in the UK and Canada. Mom was adventurous by nature and had travelled from her home in Rhyl, Wales to Canada on the Groote Beer ship at the age of 18. She decided to remain in Canada where she eventually married and raised her children in Regina. A special thanks to Dr. G. Baumann and the loving and caring staff at the Wascana Grace Hospice. At mom’s request there will be no funeral. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in mom’s memory to the Wascana Grace Hospice in Regina.
