Mary Nistor passed away May 18, 2020 at Shalom Care Home, in Cupar, at the age of 97. She was born to the late Alex and Flora Gherasim, in February 1923. She grew up on a farm five miles north of Dysart. She attended Gardner School until grade eight, then she worked on her parent’s farm until she married Tom Nistor in October of 1940. They settled on a farm near her parents. They raised their family and lived there until retiring in Cupar in 1980. She is predeceased by her husband Tom; son David; siblings Katrina, Steve, and Valerie; brothers-in-law John, Philip and Albert; and sister-in-law Vera. She is survived by her children Elaine (Allen)Fehr and Dan (Judy) Nistor; grandchildren; great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters Joana Knight and Helen Solomon. The family would like to thank the staff of Shalom Care Home in Cupar for the great care that Mary received.
