Lorna passed away peacefully at the age of 67 years surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. She was predeceased by her parents Ted and Eunice Spencer; sister Sharon; brother-in-law Philip Lane; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lorna is survived by a loving sister and brother, Elaine (Hugh) Huber and Garry (Ruth) Spencer; a very dear friend for 30 years, Beatrice Wouters and family; nieces Shelley (Brendan) McLoughlin, Lisa Friesen (Cory), Pamela (Michael) Naylor; nephews Todd(Nan) Spencer, Jason (Jen) Lane and many cousins, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces. Lorna was a kind, generous, loving and outgoing person. She was a talented artist and loved doing a variety of different crafts, many of us have received some of her pictures and crafts. She had a great love of horses and used to ride her favorite ‘Smokey’ who lived to be 30 years old. Lorna was recently welcomed into the Heritage Alliance Church and had attended her church faithfully every Sunday over the last year until she became too ill. Thank you to all at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre main 6 unit for the wonderful care over the last four years and also to the staff at Sunset Extendicare where she lived for 25 years. Thank you especially to the staff, nurses and doctors on the MSU and ICU units at the Pasqua Hospital for the care and compassion provided to Lorna over the last two weeks and many thanks to Pastor John McGregor and staff. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lorna’s memory to the Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan or the main 6 unit of Wascana Rehabilitation Center. A Memorial Service will be held at the Heritage Alliance Church, 3575 Hillsdale Street on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.
