Linda Antonick, an amazing woman known best for her loving heart, sense of humour, and famous perogies, left us on October 13, 2024. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the age of 77.
Linda was born on March 20, 1947 in Manitoba. She married her husband of 60 years, Louis Antonick, on October 26th, 1963. Together they raised four children, who became Linda’s entire world. She was always the most devoted and proud supporter of all of her children’s endeavours. This later grew in to being the biggest fan for her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s accomplishments and sports, especially watching the Rebels hockey. Linda spent her career working for the Regina Public School Board. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with loved ones most. Nothing brought her more joy than talking with friends and family over a large cup of Tim Horton’s coffee.
Linda was predeceased by her husband, Louis Antonick; son Kevin Antonick; her parents Clements and Katherine Geiger; brothers Tony, John, Gary, and Edward Geiger; sister Irene Geiger; mother and father in law Mike and Annie Antonick; sisters in law Joyce Antonick and Judy Geiger; and brothers in law Nick and Mike Antonick.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Colleen (Dave) Stopanski, and Diane (Dave) Goebel; son Irvin; grandchildren Courtney (Dennis), Stephanie (Durrant), Chris, Tyson, Kyle (Kayla), Ashley (Anastase), Dustin, and Chase; great grandchildren Emerson, Arlo, Caiden, Berlyn, and Luka; sisters in law Cora Geiger and Violet Antonick; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Linda lived a life surrounded by those she loved, and was truly the glue to her entire family. To know Linda, was to love her. After a tough year of loss, Linda decided it was her time to meet her husband, son, and many other family members and friends, on the other side. Her departure leaves an unfillable void in her loved ones lives, yet they will find comfort in the memories and everlasting love that they shared.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 10:00am at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home, 2080 Victoria Avenue East, Regina Saskatchewan.
