Katherine Ehmann

Mom was born on June 11, 1926 to Phillip and Elizabeth Schropp on a farm just North of Holdfast where she, together with her sister and two brothers grew up. She married Dad (Jack Ehmann) on June 10, 1952 and they spent their lives farming just South of Holdfast and raising 7 children. It was a busy life on the farm and in the community. Mom and Dad spent their last years in Regina and more recently Mom resided in Lumsden at the Lumsden Heritage Home.

Katherine was predeceased by her husband Jack, parents Elizabeth and Phillip Schropp, in-laws Jacob and Julia Ehmann, brother Alfred Schropp, grandsons Christian Johnson and Grant Dornian, son in-law Wayne Dornian, daughter in-law Leanne Ehmann, sister in-law Bernadette Wiands, sister in-law Rita Dayne, sister in-law Clara Schropp, brother in-law John Dayne, sister in-law Helen and Jack McDonaugh, brother in-law Roy Selinger, nephew John Dayne Jr.

Surviving Katherine are her sister Pauline Selinger and brother Leonard Schropp, sister in-law Rose Schropp, her seven children, David (Pat), Ken (Lorrie), James (Pat ), Connie Dornian, Lynn (Darrell) Baiton, Donald, and Laurie (Joris ) Van Opstal, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 GREAT GREAT grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the staff at Lumsden Heritage Home for the loving care they gave mom in her final years.

Prayers will be held at the Victoria Ave funeral home at 7:00 pm on Wednesday Feb 22, 2023.

The funeral service will be at the Assumption BVM RC Church at Holdfast on Thursday Feb 23, 1:00 pm.
