James had a very strong passion for his family. His wife and children were the most important people in his life. He operated a mixed farm with his father until 1951 when he took over the full operation from his father. James’s passion in farming was growing various grains, livestock and poultry, proudly supplying the needs for his family. He accomplished this through many challenging tasks including being the daily weatherman and most of all operating the family farm as a successful astute businessman for fifty eight years. Each time he drove his John Deere tractor you would always see the big grin James had, but nothing could surpass his love and devotion for his family and generosity of spirit.
