Elsie Adeline Hubick Racette

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a family Matriarch. On March 6, 2014, Adeline Elsie Racette passed away at her residence in Regina SK. Elsie as she was known by the family was born on September 20, 1921 at Southey, SK. She was the eighth child born to Christian & Elisabeth Hubick. Elsie is predeceased by her parents; 7 brothers, Frank & Arnold in infancy, Eddy, Karl, Arthur, Oswald, and Harold and three sisters; Emily, Fanny and Hilda. Her loving husband Peter Racette, who passed away on March 27, 1996, also predeceased Elsie. She is survived by her brother Ernest (Pat), Selkirk, MB, sister Loreen Washenfelder, Regina, SK and sisters-in-laws, Matilda, Della and Marg. Elsie is also survived by her son Mervin (Pat) of Regina, SK; grandchildren, Vaughan (Nicole) of Regina, SK, Cathy (Robert) Henning, Hali (Eric), Mervin Jr., Dawn (Eric), Christopher and Patricia all of Regina, SK., several great grandchildren as well as numerous nephews and nieces. In her later years Elsie formed a special bond with her two loving nieces Jean Gordon and Shirley Davis. The family wishes to acknowledge the care provided by unit Four West of the Pioneer Village. Elsie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
