Ella Rist

RIST, Ella – on August 30, 2018, Ella Rist, of Odessa, SK, passed away suddenly at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her husband John A. Rist (1994). Ella was the 10th of 14 children born to Adam and Mary Lang of Kendal, SK. The Lang family held a family reunion, in Kendal, earlier this month attended by 250, including Ella. She will be mourned by her children: Debbie and Tim Whelan, Wendy Rist, John and Bev Rist, and Tracy and Randine Rist. She leaves behind ten grandchildren and their spouses/partners: Alison and Cassidy, Lacey and Dennis, Jodie and Shawn, Ashley and Curtis, David, John Ray and Skylar, Tegan, Paige and Stephen, Hailey and Alex, Brady and Jordan; and twelve great-grandchildren. Her family and all that knew her will miss her kind, generous and warm spirit. A Funeral Mass will be held by Father L. Abello, at 10 AM Tuesday, September 4, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Odessa with interment to follow. All are welcomed to a reception, in the Odessa Hall, after the funeral. The family would like to thank the first responders who assisted and the staff at the General Hospital – RN Paulette, in particular.
