Eileen was predeceased by her loving husband John Carmichael and her son David Scott Carmichael.
She is survived by her three daughters Vivian Matisho, Marion Hilary Kopeck, and Laurie Jane Carmichael (Daryl Kling); grandchildren Michael (Darlene) and Shawn (Linda) Matisho, Daniel (Natalie) Kopeck, and Dana, Mitchell, and Liam Kling; great-grandchildren Robin and Emily Matisho, and Hunter, Dakota, and Sawyer Kopeck; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eileen will be dearly missed by family in Canada, England, and the United States.
Eileen met her husband, John, overseas and immigrated to Regina, SK as a war bride after WWII. She volunteered at the Regina General Hospital in the children’s department for 15 years. She was a phenomenal knitter, loved golfing and gardening, and was known by those close to her as a brave pioneer of camping. She was a plucky woman, with a stiff upper lip, and a strong faith. Eileen had a strong community of friends at the Wintergreene Estates that she would spend time knitting, and seeing movies with.
A private family interment will take place at a later date.
