When I worked at the Royal Bank, Broad and 7th in Regina, Dennis was definatly one of my most favorite customers.  I  loved his sense of humor, he always made me laugh, and he was such a caring person, was always the highlight of my day to see him walk in.  I loved it when he brought the boys along.  When my Dear Mother passed away I was so touched to see your family at the memorial service, so very kind of you. Due to caring for an elderly friend who had a bad fall I hadn't gotten around to reading the Leader Post for a couple of weeks and when I did get through them last night I was so saddened to read of your loss, I am so very sorry.  My thoughts are with you Karen and all the family.  He truly was a special person,  I shall always cherish my memories of him.

I admired Dennis and his wonderful servant heart. He was a big part of my youth years and took the time to interact with me despite all of my awkwardness.  I remember his generosity, hospitality,  patience, faithful church attendance, work ethic, and his bouncy shoulders when he laughed. The time I spent with him was a blessing.

I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Dennis' passing. Many long forgotten memories came flooding back to me. Keith, Kim and I always had such fun at the farm!

Erika and I were quite shocked to hear of our friend Dennis's sudden passing. We got to know Dennis during the time that I served as pastor of the Southey Baptist Church. Dennis was the custodian at that time, and he and I would both be in the church building on Saturday evenings preparing for Sunday morning. Our work always took longer because we would spend time chatting - solving whatever local and global problems were the topic of the day, and getting to know each other. Dennis was a store of valuable information about the church, its history, and the Southey community. We often enjoyed Dennis's and Karen's hospitality at their home on the farm - Sunday afternoons, Christmas eves and other occasions. Our friendship has continued in the years since those days. His continued interest in and leadership in the church were frequent topics of conversation. His life was a great example of devotion to serving our Lord. We have comfort in so many good memories and in the hope of the resurrection. Lord God, bring comfort to Karen, and Daniel and his family, and to all of us, in the days to come.

   So sorry to hear that Dennis has been taken from us much too soon.  I have appreciated  the connections with your family over the years, notable with Mable and Ron and earlier as age-mate cousins when visiting between families.  I appreciated Dennis's loyal presence at our family's various memorial services,  most recently on that stormy day in Jan./20, for my brother Erwin in Regina.

How sad we were to hear of your loss.  Dennis has been a constant member of the Southey community, and Southey Baptist Church.  I have many memories of events with the Youth group - youth retreats, ice skating on a frozen slough at the Sauer farm with hot dogs and marshmallows over an open winter fire; Dennis driving us in his big car listening to his 8-track music; and many other moments as friends and neighbours.
Karen, we pray that God will Be your Source of comfort, and as the days go by give you His “peace which passes all understanding.”

We spent lots of time together as children. Mum would drop me off at Dennis‘S farm on her way to study for her degree in education in Regina. 
       I learned how to chase pigs and get chased by the turkeys. I found out what clucking hens are. 
    The Sauers had a big wind mill that pumped water from a well into a big trough for the cows to drink. 
     It was a real shock to me to hear of his sudden passing. I’m one month younger than Dennis and was hoping one day that we could spend time together at Southey. I miss that area and really would have liked to travel around with Dennis looking at the spots that were familiar to us so many years ago.
       My mother Dennis’s aunt lived a mile away across the field with my father Philip Hertz. I would so like to come to the funeral and grieve the loss of my best friend. 

I am so sorry for your loss.   I have great memories of Dennis, his humour and love that i will cherish.  Sending you all so much love.
