Loving husband of 56 years to Margaret Baker. Beloved father of Kristin (Dan) Sherman. Dear brother of Barbara Birdsall, Shirley Hadden, the late Linda Shelt, Kenneth Baker, and Patricia McCowan. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Robert was a man of many passions and a heartwarming sense of humor. His love for classic cars and gadgets was evident through his extensive collection of trophies and the countless hours he spent tinkering with various things. A proud Army veteran, he served from 1960 to 1963, stationed in Germany.
Robert's generosity knew no bounds, as he was always ready to lend a helping hand. Together with his beloved wife Margaret, he spent 25 winters in Sarasota, Florida finding joy in each moment. For 45 years, they enjoyed their time at their lakeside vacation home near Gaylord Michigan, making lasting memories cherished by family and friends. Robert will be deeply missed, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and enduring love.
