Thomas William Coleman was born on September 25, 1929 in Canton, Ohio.
He was stationed in Germany during World War II having been honorably discharged in 1952.
He worked his way through college at Kent State as a roofer and met his wife Carol of 66 years at the local church.
After working a few years for Timken Steel they moved west to Redding, California in 1965.
There he worked for Citizens Utilities as an auditor till retirement. He and his wife were members of Trinity Lutheran Church and was very active in the congregation as the church treasurer for many years.
Thomas enjoyed sports and was a referee for his son's high school basketball and football games. He and Carol both played tennis and were members at the Sun Oaks Racket Club and the River View Golf Club where he passionately played golf into his 80's.
