In Loving Memory of Roberta Powell, June 20, 1927 to February 26, 2024.

For decades I've turned to this section of the paper to see who had past away. Now you read this and see I have passed away. If you know me, you'll already know what St. Paul and I believe......

"I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes."

This is the last time I can share this message with you. Because as of November 26, 2024, I am now in His presence, as my Savior!

I am Roberta Graham Powell, born June 20, 1927 in Cottonwood, AZ. My parents were Raymond C. Oliver and Ella Oliver of Eureka Springs, AR. We moved to Redding in 1935 where I attended 2nd grade and continued my education to graduate from Redding's Shasta High School. After which I earned my pilot's license from Shasta College. I was married to the love of my life in 1946, Clifton A Powell, for 63 yrs. We cherished family, friends, and our church community. We were greatly blessed through our joint ministry with The Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship. Traveling the globe, sharing our faith in Jesus Christ and seeing God heal people from various conditions, gave us tremendous joy!

I was preceded in death by my husband Cliff in 2009, my brother Ray Oliver in 2006 and my sister Donna Webb in 2004.

I am survived by my daughter: Sandra Struthers (Ray); two grandchildren Julie Plitnik (Matt), Jay Struthers (Hinni); four great grandchildren Aleksi and Isabelle Struthers, Michael and Elizabeth Plitnik; one sister-in-law, Deloris Powell and many treasured nieces and nephews.

I have requested no celebration of life or memorial service. Celebrate that I am absent from the body but present with the Lord, God has redeemed me through His Son's payment on the cross.
