The son of John and Harriet (Holt) Uran, he was born and raised in Northome, MN. He graduated Dunwoody becoming a certified land surveyor and worked for the Minnesota Department of Transportation. He served in the United States Army (1959 – 1961).
He worked for almost 40 years selling treated timber products for structures such as bridges. The consummate salesman, many customers became life-long friends. He enjoyed golf, mowing the lawn, and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and cribbage player. He would not refuse a good brandy Manhattan with friends. He relished time with family and family events.
He is survived by his wife, Kay “Bunny” (Felstet) Uran, daughters Denise (Jeff) Uran Zillman, Crystal (Mike) Uran Lerol and their son, Ethan, and siblings, Anita Kamp and George Uran and their families.
