Floyd Gene Keen passed away on October 5, 2022. He was born on March 20, 1930 in Fowler, Colorado to Robert Earl Keen and Lillie Mae Cox. Floyd had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. They moved to Gridley in 1939 where he attended Gridley High School. He started working for the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1951 and retired as a Roadmaster in 1984. He married the love of his life, Wanda on September 1, 1950. They were parted by her death in February 2019. They had four daughters, Malinda & Larry Shira of Shingletown, Velda and Mervin Burke of Redding, Wanda /Cathene & Richard Kellogg of Redding, and Truvon & Bill Butcher of Wisconsin. Floyd had 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was a member of the Redding Moose Lodge and Shasta Travelers. Floyd was the backbone of his family and loved by everyone who knew him. Floyd-Matriarch, husband, father, grandfather and friend, you will forever be loved and missed by so many. McDonald’s Chapel in Redding is handling the arrangements. Service will be held on Friday October 28, 2022 at noon. Reception to follow.
