Ron was a Reading High School graduate where he served on the track team collecting various awards. He was an Army Veteran proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. Ron was employed by Lentz Milling Co. as a forklift operator for over 20 years retiring in 2011. He was an avid Steelers and NASCAR fan and a member of Syndicate Car Club in Reading. He enjoyed the Duryea Hill Climb races in the winding streets of the Pagoda and Skyline Drive in Reading.
Surviving are his 3 sons; Shawn M. and his wife Christy Olanin, Shane P. and his wife Erin Olanin and Benjamin Duvall, his 2 sisters; Linda A. widow of Mark Smith and Diane M. and her husband Bill Stewart and 4 grandchildren; Cole Olanin, Kyla Olanin, Jameson Olanin and Brinley Olanin.
A viewing for Ronald will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Theo C Auman, 247 Penn St. Reading, PA.19601. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
