Roger Leon Malinowski, 75, of Reading, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 in Tower Health Reading Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Irene C. (Zorena) Malinowski.
Roger was born in Reading on January 31, 1947 a son of the late Frank and Corinne (Aney) Malinowski.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan who enjoyed watching the games while eating pizza with his family. Roger was known around the world for his home business, Stoney Creek Designs, which produced intricate life-like model kits of buildings based on the narrow-gauge railroads and old mining towns from the gold rush era of Colorado. He was artistic and a masterful woodworker who remodeled almost every room in every home he ever lived, and was an incredible photographer. Beyond all of his many talents, we will miss his dad jokes, witty banter, and the love he had for his family.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his son, Christian J. and his wife Beverly Malinowski, daughter Lynn A. and her husband Bill DeHaven, 5 grandchildren; Nicole DeHaven, Lindsey DeHaven, Payton DeHaven, Jolie Malinowski and Alyson Malinowski.
