Robert "Bob" Dennis Pegram,77, of Reading, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 16, 2018 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Hospital, surrounded by family. Bob was born July 31, 1940, a son of the late Waverly and Gertrude (Scott) Pegram.
Bob was a Reading High School graduate. Bob worked at Carpenter Technology, retiring in 2003, after 20 years of service. He was also a member of the United Steelworkers Union.
Family recalls that Bob was very social and he loved spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by three sons: Ricky Pegram of Reading, Michael Pegram of Reading and Rory Pegram of Charlotte, NC; three daughters: Valerie Canon of Reading, Robin Pegram of Allentown and Denise Pegram of Reading; a sister: Thelma (Pegram) White of Reading and sister-in-law, Barbara Pegram of Upper Marlboro, MD.
Also surviving are six grandchildren: Jahaun, Dante, Shannel, Mason, Vavionce and David.
Bob is predeceased by his longtime companion, Janice Washington; a son Brent Canon; a brother, William Pegram and three sisters: Helena (Pegram) Younger, Alice (Pegram) Peay and Anna (Pegram) Waters- Bostick.
A viewing for Bob will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street, Reading, Pennsylvania 19601, followed by a Home Going services at 11:00 AM.
