Michael Christy Scott

Michael Christy Scott, 58, answered the call of our Lord Jesus Christ during the late night hours of January 16, 2023.

A time to be born-

On January 21, 1964 in Reading, PA, Michael was born the eighth child born to Ethel Mae Jennerette (Scott) and late Anderson Forrest Sr.

A time to live-

Michael attended school in the Reading School District. Michael was best known as "Shitty Mick" .

A time to work-

Michael was employed by Supportive Concepts for a short time.

A time to embrace-

Michael was a very caring son, a loving brother and a great friend to many. He loved the Lord, he loved to serve by conversing and enlightening others in the name of Jesus, he loved Philadelphia sports team's Eagles, 76ers and Phillies, he loved to fish. Michael enjoyed going to the Olivet Boys & Girls Club.

A time to plant-

Michael joined Mt. Zion Church-God In Christ under the calling from Christ and the leadership of Pastor Kevin Glimp.

A time to love-

Michael leaves to cherish his memory: mother Ethel Mae Jenerette of Tampa FL; step father Charles L. Jennerette, Reading PA; brother, Alvin V. (Bug) Scott, Miami FL; Garry L. (Pops) (Victoria) Scott, Reading PA; Kevin B. (Sandy) Scott, Reading PA; Keith B. Scott, Reading PA; David A. (Cold Duck) (Maureen), Reading PA; Traye D. (Annette) Scott, Tampa FL; Chad L. Scott, Reading PA; Hortense A. (Mario) Scott, Reading PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Anderson (Judo) Forrest Jr, James (Jimmy) Forrest, Jeffrey (Mr Rich) Scott and sister Betty Forrest.

A time to take God's hand

Michael transitioned peacefully during the night hours of January 16, 2023. Heaven responded to God's call and angel descended to escort Micheal back to Him.

On behalf of the family we like to thank you for celebrating his home going.

A Viewing for Michael will be Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 436 South 7th Street, Reading, PA 19602, followed by A Celebration of Life Service at 10:30 AM.

Parking will be available at the Laurel Street parking lot.

Michael will be laid to rest in Laureldale Cemetery.
