Lynn Elliott Folk, 75, of Reading, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Penn State Health - St. Joseph. Born on June 5, 1949, in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Paul Folk and Grace (Piersol) Davis. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Barry G. Folk.
A proud graduate of Muhlenberg High School’s Class of 1968, Lynn spent much of his career working as a security guard, keeping watch over various stores, malls, and warehouses.
Lynn found relaxation in the game of golf and enjoyed occasional rounds with his nephew, John, appreciating the time spent together. He also had a creative side, making artificial flowers out of paper—a hobby he took great pride in. As a devoted uncle and a steadfast friend, Lynn’s presence will will be missed by all blessed enough to have known him.
Lynn is survived by his beloved nephew, John A. Folk; his great nephew John M. Folk; and his 2 great great nephews John R. Folk and Michael A. Folk, who will carry on his memory.
A graveside committal will take place on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 West Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Attendees are asked to arrive at the cemetery gates by 11:45 AM to join in honoring Lynn’s life.
